My friend in life
my friend in death
a bond so strong
proven with every
breath
These past years
together
but now moments
apart
I know you are
with me
always from the
start
Pain washes over
everyone has gone
I hide beneath
the covers
but your voice
makes me strong
There is no mask
in your presence
any word can be
said
I can not lie
to you
for my soul you
have read
In times of trial
my counsel you
sought
I would give you
my life
with no second
thought
You know who I
am
on me you can
depend
I know who you
are
My only true friend
